Church Administrator/Treasurer

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administrative tasks
- Maintain office supplies and records
- Handle church communications (emails and mails)
- Coordinate and manage the church’s calendar of events, and update the list of members
- Scheduling and coordinating Apostle Simeon Mukwiza’s meetings
- Building and maintain relationship with Lifecentre church on behalf of Wells
- Handle any issue related to the use of the church facility, including booking rooms for ad hoc events
- Assist to create the church budget, pay bills, oversee payroll, record church income from donations and handle related bank operations
- Submit various annual reports to federal departments within specific deadlines
- Provide administrative support to ministry leaders upon request
- Treasury-related tasks
- Record regularly tithes and offerings.
- Pay bills and make bank deposits
- Develop and distribute donation receipts annually.
- Cash flow management.
- Renew subscriptions with government institutions
- Assist in the development of the church budget
- Submit various annual reports to federal departments within specific deadlines
- Any other support from the treasurer at the supervisor’s request.
REQUIREMENTS
- Being a Christian and a member of Wells Salvation Church
- Having a secondary school diploma
- Being bilingual (fluent in English and French)
- Being highly organized and self-motivated
- Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Having strong computer skills and ability to operate office equipment
- Ability to handle multiple task and problem solve
- Ability to keep confidential and sensitive information
- A commitment to standing as a moral and upstanding representative of the church in the community
- Be available if possible every Sunday.
