Our Vision and Story
Founded on the 1st of July, 2007, Wells Salvation Church is established on and committed to the Holy Scriptures.
The Ministry began in 2004, in Rwanda (Africa). During a period of prayer, Pastor Simeon Mukwiza received the vision and the mission of the ministry that God was soon going to establish, first in Canada as a starting point, with the goal of reaching all nations. The name of the ministry, “Wells Salvation Church”, is based on Isaiah 12:3.
The church’s vision is to preach Salvation in Jesus Christ to all men, a complete salvation that includes the regeneration of the spirit, the restoration of the soul and the deliverance of the body.
Three core elements lay foundation for the church’s vision:
- The Cross symbolizes the salvation of humanity through the work that Jesus Christ accomplished at the cross in order to redeem mankind from sin. (Colossians 2:13-15)
- The Bible symbolizes our commitment to the Word of God as the revealed Truth and to the exposition of the Gospel in its entirety, taking into consideration the physical, material and spiritual needs of people, according to Christ’s model. (John 10:10)
- The Water, which springs forth, symbolizes the ministry of the Holy Spirit. (John 7:37-39)
After his arrival in Canada, Apostle Mukwiza started organizing prayer meeting in a basement. 12 people gathered at the first meeting. A few months later, the basement had become too small to contain the growing number of attendees and the church had to move into a Community Centre and then, in 2009, into a rented facility.
Over the years, we have seen people of all ages and backgrounds coming to Christ through the preaching of the Gospel. More than 200 members have now joined the church and the Lord is still adding to our number those who are being saved (Acts 2:47)
Wells Salvation Church has also planted two branches in Africa (Rwanda and Congo) as well as a Branch in Netherlands.
