Prayer Ministry

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.” (James 5:17-18)

We believe prayer should be an integral part of the life of every believer as well as the life of the church. The Lord Jesus Christ recommended numerous times in the Gospels that we pray, intercede and persevere in our prayers, knowing that our Father hears and answers us (Luke 11:1-13, Luke 18:1-8, Mathew 26:41, 1 John 5:14-15).

Taking Nehemiah (Nehemiah 1:4-11), Daniel (Daniel 9:4-19), the Disciples (Acts 4:24-31) and Jesus Himself as models, the intercession team believes in the effectiveness of persistent and Spirit-filled prayer made with expectation and faith in God (James 5:17-18), in the name of Jesus (John 14:13). We have witnessed many answered prayers.

The intercession team organizes prayers for the church, the Body of Christ, the city of Ottawa, Canada and individual prayer requests, including prayers for the sick and those in need of deliverance as they are led by the Lord’s Spirit.

The Intercessory Prayer Service takes place every Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The prayer meeting is open to all.
